The Board of Trustees of the Friends of the Georgia Archives has established the Sarah O. Dunaway Scholarship in memory of one of its greatest friends. Over the years, Sarah consistently supported the Georgia Archives and its work. She felt strongly that the records of our heritage should be preserved so the Board felt it approriate to honor her by providing training to those who work with historical records. The Dunaway Scholarship will provide tuition for one student to attend the annual Georgia Archives Institute and one year's membership in the Friends of the Georgia Archives.
The 41st Georgia Archives Institute will be held June 9-22, 2008 at the Georgia Archives in Morrow. Dunaway Scholarship applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2008.
